Subject: to put on site Date: Mon, 06 May 2002 09:10:10 -0700 From: marty To: papershops Here are some URL's which cardmodelers may find worthwhile. Please feel free to copy this list post them on a relevant mailing list or anyplace else. 1 Some few good examples of Parchment Crafting which use embossing to embellish paper. Could be used effectively with many cardmodels http://www.papershops.com/papershops/myps/evelyn.ying/parchmentboxes.htm 2 Instructions for our Boxmaker Grande (tm) -- has information on curve scoring. Curve scoring is not used very often on cardmodels -- perhaps these instructions will inspire more work with this technique. http://www.papershops.com/boxstar-boxmaker/grande1.htm 3 A couple of projects -- a Diner and some Building Blocks. The diner is one of my designs. Don't expect much -- I am a beginner. http://www.papershops.com/boxstar-boxmaker/grande1.htm 4 A layout for a TuckTop box that can be scaled up or down to make some very nice boxes. http://www.papershops.com/boxstar-boxmaker/Tucktop%20box.htm 5 Drawings for some interesting boxes. If anyone writes, I will send them individual PDF files of the layouts http://www.papershops.com/boxstar-boxmaker/make_a_batch_of_boxes.htm 6 A simple way to make sturdy house models. http://www.papershops.com/boxstar-boxmaker/Model%20Houses.htm By the way -- one of the 10 most popular toys this last Christmas (2001) was a set of extremely simple cardmodel boxes which easily assemble into the types of buildings you would find in any town; church, garage, bank, school, etc. (they are all less than 4" in the longest dimension). The children assemble the boxes and play with their little moveable city. They would be good props for the little wooden trainsets which are so popular now (there was a fairly popular toy like this on the market about 50 years ago -- came with little battery operated cars).
